GymMark Presentation

We were pleased to welcome BG's Regional Development Officer, Lynsey Mealham, to our session last night to present us with our GymMark plaque. Pictured are Lynsey with Dave and a number of our members who were able to attend for the occasion. This plaque is awarded as accreditation of the high standards we maintain. Essex Sports Awards

We were pleased to hear today that our nomination for Best Sports Club has been short-listed and are now waiting eagerly for the awards evening on 8th November to see if we are successful.

ClubSX Accreditation

Brentwood Trampoline Club are delighted to announce that sportessex has recognised the club's achievements in providing safe, effective and child-friendly coaching by accrediting it under their ClubSX scheme.

Data Protection Act

Brentwood Trampoline Club has been registered under the Data Protection Act for the retention of personal records relevant to administration of members and others engaged with the Club's activities. The registration number is Z107271X. Should anybody engaged with the club wish to see their record they are entitled to do so although a small administration charge may be raised depending on the format the information is required to be supplied in.

GymMark Accreditation

GymMark Accreditation

Brentwood Trampoline Club were delighted to hear today that their GymMark accreditation has been approved. The club can now proudly display the GymMark logo (pictured right) and claim to be Safe, Effective & Child Friendly. GymMark is the British Gymnastics' equivalent to the ClubMark accreditation adopted in other sporting disciplines.

Gaining this accreditation was a team effort involving many members of the committee and coaching staff. Well done to all!

Brentwood Academy Club

Brentwood Trampoline Club were delighted to hear recently that they have been accepted onto the Brentwood Borough Council Academy Scheme. The scheme is about creating excellence in sporting activities and "has been set up by Brentwood Borough Council to offer financial support to local sport and leisure clubs to assist in the development of young sporting talent".

The requirements we had to satisfy were to:

• Be based in Brentwood
• Be solely for young people or have an official junior section
• Have an established coaching and instruction programme in place
• Comply with government legislation in relation to coaching young people and relevant provision under the Children's Act (2004)
• Aspire to excellence
• Have members who can demonstrate Olympic potential
• Acknowledge the support given by Brentwood Borough Council

We look forward to working with Brentwood Borough Council in future to realise the objectives of the scheme in trampolining.
