Easton Open results

Some of our happy travellers
Yesterday we had 15 travel to the outskirts of Norwich for an Open competition hosted by Dragons.  Following hot on the heels of the grading we hosted last weekend the accent of this event was on fun with Synchro as well as Individual competitions.  The outcome exceeded all expectations with no less than 7 of the 15 winning their individual groups, two coming 2nd and another 3rd.  The synchro was slightly less succesful though with one 2nd placed pair and two 3rd placed and another member in 2nd place in the Russian Roulette.  You can read more about this and other results by checking on our website at http://www.brentwoodtc.org/comps_this_year.htm

Brentwood Trampoline Grading - Highlights

Wow, what a day for BTC - well done to all our competitors for doing their best and, in the main, succeeding.  More details (and pictures in due course) online on our website but to give you an idea of how well they did, how about these statistics:
  • 48 competitors
  • 8 first timers and 10 first time in grade (say one-third)
  • 22 trophies (nearly 50% of our competitors)
    • 7 winners
    • 7 second-placed
    • 8 third-placed
  • 6 winning teams
  • 11 qualifiers
  • 36 equal or new personal best scores!
Many thanks to all our officials and helpers who made it a great day for the kids in particular, also to Neil at Cangaroos for keeping the results flowing through so folks didn't have to wait too long for presentations.

Nicola, Gemma, Vicky, Becky & Joe
As ever, our young members have been working amazingly hard and a stunningly large number have already been nominated for Jack Petchey awards this year.  Open to all members aged between 11 and 25, these awards are made to those who set the best examples to other members.  Find out more about the latest winners (pictured right) on our website at http://www.brentwoodtc.org/jack_petchey.htm.  Well done to Celia, our new Jack Petchey coordinator for stimulating such interest.
