Brentwood Grading - 31st May


On balance our members experienced a good competition today with some moving up a grade, others just achieving that breakthrough-competition where it seems that they may soon be ready to move on and with others actually getting that elusive qualifying score. Highlights were:

First time in grade:

Alice Gibbs & Abbie Goldsmith.

Qualifiers:

Victoria Webb, Jamie Perry, Lauren Marchant & Kensie Sherlock.

Trophies & medals:

Jamie Perry, Victoria Webb, Rebecca Martin, Emma Martin, Tegan Roycroft, Lauren Marchant, Joseph Dulieu-Hasler, Abbie Goldsmith, Georgia Walker & Daniel Frost

Free tickets for England vs Australia cricket match


Okay - this is between the Women's teams but England are world champions and Australia will make a fight of it.

We have been offered free tickets for the match at the Essex County Ground, Chelmsford, on 29th & 30th June (starting 10:45am and 2:30pm respectively). If you are interested in tickets please let Dave know as soon as possible.

Extra Competition in Ipswich

We have been invited to an extra Open competition in Ipswich - this is running grades Club I, Club H and Regional G so is an ideal competition for first-timers to test their mettle.

South Shields Gala Weekend Results

Good work by Charlotte Webb at South Shields saw her reaffirm her position in the top ranks of the Youth Girls National C competition this year. Following a disappointing set round where she was half-way down the field she made a great recovery and just missed a podium position in 4th place overall. Read more on our website here.

Jack Petchey Winners

Congratulations to our latest Jack Petchey Award winners. With a range of achievements they represent an excellent cross-section of our club:
  • Georgie Harris received her award for February to reward her hard work in training;
  • Kallum Sherlock received his award for March when he showed demonstrable improvement in form; and finally
  • Charlotte Webb received her award for competitive successes in April.
